Is Colloidal Silver a Potential Cure for MRSA?

An interesting article by David Gutierrez was posted recently on NaturalNews.com. The article is entitled “MRSA Super bug Infections Now Killing More Americans than AIDS,” and it discusses how antibiotic resistant staph infections are becoming more and more common in the U.S.

According to government Centers of Disease Control and Prevention research, U.S. residents are dying from MRSA infections at a greater rate than AIDS.

Staph infections are usually not deadly, and in the past have been easily treated with antibiotics. By contrast, antibiotic resistant MRSA bacteria make treatment much more challenging and MRSA infections much more dangerous. Untreated MRSA infections can result in the bacteria spreading throughout the body, causing damage to bones, the lungs, joints and vital organs.

Consumer advocate Mike Adams is quoted in David Gutierrez’s article. Mike Adams notes that natural remedies such as garlic and colloidal silver can act as an alternative cure for MRSA infections. He also notes that as long as the medical community continues to ignore the value of such natural remedies as colloidal silver and herbs, people will continue to become infected with and die from MRSA.

According to Adams, an over-reliance on antibiotics on the part of the conventional medical community has led to the development of the MRSA strain of bacteria. As difficult as it is to imagine your doctor prescribing colloidal silver to treat a MRSA infection, Adams’ statements suggest this type of treatment may be the only cure available to patients.
