When you visit Italy, you are transported to this beautiful land placed amidst the Mediterranean Sea - the scene is set for you to experience unforgettable vacations in Italy. Try to budget your time well, and appropriate at least three days time for checking out the popular destination sights. There are tons of places to visit in Italy. A proper plan prevents you from zipping through any place too hurriedly, and you can quite easily add or subtract a day from any of the places on the itinerary, if the need arises.
The best way to spend your vacations in Italy is to have an approach to traveling the country the way Italians do - divide the country into two halves, the northern half and the southern half. The southern half is less touristy. You can visit places like Sicily in the southern half. The northern half comprises the ‘Holy Trinity’ of Rome, Florence and Venice. There are many hotels in Italy to suit your budget. The tourist season in Italy is from late spring through early autumn. A good way to save money on your hotel charge is to visit Italy in January and February.

Renowned universities like the University of Bologna have virtually built the fabric of Italy since the earliest of times.
