POS Service Contracts for Protection

Posted on January 22, 2008 - Filed Under Business |

If you’ve purchased used POS equipment or if you’ve been using the same equipment for many years, it might be time to re-examine your POS service contract. If you don’t have one, it’s time to consider how much it’s costing you to operate without one.

Thanks to quality design and components, your NCR point of sale products probably only break down once in a blue moon. But even top of the line IBM Surepos pos equipment is subject to mishaps and mishandling, and downtime can prove very costly. Without a service contract, repairs compound the costs of downtime.

POS service contracts are essential if you want to keep your business running smoothly at all times. Businesses without POS service contracts rarely keep up with essential maintenance which results in even more costly repairs. It makes little sense to invest in Fujitsu POS systems without arranging service contracts to keep them running.

Yet contracts lapse and coverage ends, and many businesses pay dearly for it when something goes wrong with their POS systems. If you’ve decided to forego regular maintenance and support, it’s time to rethink your position. With the cost of new POS equipment, it only makes sense to care for your investment.
