Third degree of reiki training

The third degree or the third level of reiki training is the most important one among the three levels of reiki training. This level is termed as the master degree or the master level of reiki training. Though reiki refers to a universal life force that is often described as a spiritual energy, the word ‘master’ in reiki terminology is not associated with any kind of spiritual enlightenment.
During this level of the reiki training course the students are given an attunement. They may also be provided with more than one attunement, if necessary. These attunements are necessary for the students in order that they can carry them out, and thereby, learn another symbol in addition to those three symbols that they had learnt in the second degree of the reiki training. This reiki symbol is termed as the master-level symbol.
After the completion of this level of training in reiki healing, a student becomes a reiki master or a reiki teacher. A reiki teacher can not only treat himself and the others, but also attune other people. He can also teach people the three symbols of reiki.
There is no specific duration for the master level of reiki training. The duration depends upon the reiki training school and also on the reiki teacher. A student can complete the third degree of reiki training in a single day. Again, it may take more than a year to complete the reiki healing training.
